Starting the year with the basics....=)

Heyiiie!!!!

Happy New Year! how's your New year guys?! Hope Everything is Great!!! I'm sure it is..=)

I want to start my blog with basics for all the Make up enthusiast and make up beginners and what not! =)
for all the beginners out there make sure to read this one, In everything we do we always need to start with something...like when we were born we can't walk at first or talk...everything comes down to a start! Meaning...theres a foundation for everything...at first we crawl..before we start walking...we babble before we say dada or mama....well for make up...before you put anything on your face...You need to know what skin tone you are, skin type (Normal, Dry skin, Oily skin, Combination skin  and sensitive skin) i know, i know...it's like confusing already...but don;t you worry That's why I'm writing this blog to make your life easier(in starting your make up or skin care routine anyways hehehe) I'll be describing each skin type as follows so READ ON!!! =)

The following descriptions will help you what skin condition you are and to make the right decision on what products suits you and what skin care products will work best on you!

NORMAL
: for Normal skin type: You'll notice that your skin is smooth with even texture and small pores..
Cheeks maybe a little bit dry but not excessively dry..
And you may experience some shine in forehead, nose or chin and pores maybe larger in that areas too..but don't you worry that's normal everybody experience oiliness..=)

Care for Normal skin:

Everybody needs a skin Routine specially with our face (but don't forget your neck as well...but while your at it...Include your whole body as well( in terms of hydrating and ex-foliating and Moisturizing) )
So for Normal skin you should start your skin care routine by Cleansing your face with a foaming cleanser, and Ex foliate your skin at least TWICE A WEEK..i can't exaggerate that anymore than that! Moisturize your skin with light weight lotions (again don't you worry..i'll be giving tips on how to pick your moisturizers as well)
and most especially USE SUNSCREEN TO KEEP YOUR SKIN HEALTHY!!! to protect your skin from the SUN! and OF COURSE you can't make your skin beautiful without the proper diet..Meaning Eat foods rich in A,C and E helps skin smooth and soft and younger of course =) and of course THE WORD THAT YOU'LL SURE BE READING A LOT FROM THIS BLOG IS HYDRATION!!! INTAKE OF SUFFICIENT FLUID IS VERY IMPORTANT! TO MAINTAIN HYDRATION AND GET RID OF BODY TOXINS!! =)

DRY SKIN
for dry skin you'll notice that your skin feels tight after washing, and may look dry or flaky..it feels rough and uneven(meaning its dehydrated) it can also be sensitive.
Dry skins shows fine lines faster that other skin type...

Care for dry skin

Dry skin requires special care..so you have to stick with your daily skin routine to take care of your skin don't you worry it won't make you feel doing some extra chore..since it will be your time for yourself...taking care of your skin is SOOO WORTH IT!!! I can assure you that!! and in the long run you'll see what I'm blabbing about!! hehehe....
ok down to business dry skin, first of all your lifestyle should include a healthy diet ( and not just for dry skin for all skin types! heler!!! everything we eat affects our skin)  so for dry skin food with higher water content is an advantage, fruits and vegetables are the best!!! And of course at least eight glasses of water a day keeps this skin type hydrated! and YES caffeine and alcohol cause hydration so just limit your intake of Caffeine and alcohol to two cups or 2 glasses a day!
Using a richer cleanser and limiting sun exposure can definitely help you with your dry skin and of course using a good moisturizer can protect your skin...and also using night creams will do you wonders!!!

OILY SKIN
The word oil can only mean one thing!!! Shiny skin!!! tada!!!! especially in your T-zone areas..(forehead,nose and Chin) it's because of the over active sebaceous or oil producing glands..
you'll notice your skin or face have frequent break outs...and you may have large visible pores.

Care for Oily skin

Cleanse the face atleast twice a day  to prevent dirt accumulation since your oily skinn can accumulate more dirt than normal skin since you know oil can attract dirt more dirt and dust....that can clogged your pores and thus producing more oil..making your face more shinier...
Using Alcohol Free astringent to remove excess oil..since using alcohol astringent can make your skin more oily so AVOID using Alcohol base Astringent...Use oil free moisturizers as well...to keep the skin from drying...=)

COMBINATION SKIN

You'll notice your skin is oily through the T-zone( larger pores on forehead, nose and chin), dry cheeks or spot dehydration!

Care for combination skin
Regular cleansing, toning and moisturizing of the oily areas and the use of a milder cleanser and denser moisturizer for the dry areas...

SENSITIVE SKINS

This skin type can range from dry to oily...meaning you can be oily or dry skin and have sensitive skin as well...
you'll notice your skin gets easily irritated by cosmetics, moisturizer and cleanser.
may experience itchy and blotchy skin.

Care

for this skin type it requires mild, and non perfumed cleansing products, use alcohol free toner formulated for sensitive skin, you should look for moisturizer and cleanser specifically for this skin type.

SHORTCUTS!!! yey!! after all that..i have a shortcut tip if your still having trouble identifying your skin type:

1. look at your skin after washing your face: analyze your skin if its dry (flaky) , or shiny(oily) and if it's Smooth(normal)

2. if you are already using skin care routines..after washing your face with your cleansing ritual products try to feel if your skin feels tight on your forehead...since this is a good indication that your skin is dry if you feel tightness in your forehead just after cleansing your face...

3. And if you just at home check your face on the middle of the day and see if your face is shiny...means your oily skin...or if if its still dry even when you already moisturized it early on..meaning you have dry skin...and if you have mild shininess on the T zone means your normal skin...

So there...now you can identify your skin type!!! Good luck!!!! don't hesitate to leave comments and questions if you have any..i'll be happy to answer them as soon as possible...Take care!!!

Smile!!! =)
